Calculations and estimates are an important part of your business plan. Examine your budget and financing closely. In your calculations, you need to test different turnover and cost levels: be a pessimist, a realist and an optimist. Find the critical point at which your expenses and your income are equal. Figure out in advance how you can keep the situation under control even if a worst-case scenario occurs.

When starting a new business, you should make an investment calculation and a profitability calculation, at the very least.
