Enabling growth

History

Keski-Uudenmaan Kehittämiskeskus Oy, aka Keuke, was founded in 1998. The initiative came from active entrepreneur organizations and companies that wanted to improve the services available to businesses in Central Uusimaa. Educational institutions joined the project as well, and both municipal funding and state project funding was acquired.

The Keuke business incubator, which served start-up companies, was the first to begin operating. The development work soon expanded to companies with longer histories, and along the way, Keuke has developed, for example, businesses operating in the technology, tourism and creative industries, health and social service enterprises, carried out active regional marketing and internationalization projects, as well as promoted entrepreneurship education.

Keuke has stabilized its position as a valued and trusted expert organization in Central Uusimaa. Over time, we have accumulated plenty of knowledge and practical experience regarding the needs of the companies in this region, expertise in carrying out company development projects and a smoothly running partner network that we use to help our customers. We act as the coordinator of regional business services in Central Uusimaa and are a member of the national development company network, SEKES – for more information, see www.sekes.fi.

Ownership

Keuke is owned by the municipalities and cities of the region. Income from Keuke’s activities is used to run and develop the company’s operations.
