Companies in Central Uusimaa have significant growth potential. The regional Growth Path of Central Uusimaa, organized for the seventh time as part of Kasvu Open, awarded Alupro from Tuusula and 6D Tape from Sipoo as the most promising growth companies.
Alupro designs, manufactures, and executes architectural surface solutions combining various materials. The products are used in residential and public buildings, as well as shopping centers, for example. Alupro’s well-known projects include the exterior faces of the REDI shopping center and latticework inside Oodi, the Helsinki Central Library.
– Alupro has an impressive track record over a significant period. The judging panel can see that the company has strong international growth potential and a clear vision for making the transition to the international market. Alupro manages its resources well and has a wealth of versatile talent, says Keuke CEO Elina Pekkarinen, who presided over the judging panel.
The Finnish innovation 6D Tape is a skin-friendly tape with handles, that can be used for physical and lymph therapy. The tape reduces recovery time from injuries, lessens joint and muscle ache, and alleviates swelling and tightness. The handles set 6D Tape is apart from kinesiological tapes, as they enable more active working methods where the tissue can be manipulated in various ways.
– Thus, the innovative product has global market potential. The experienced and growth-hungry owners have prepared a clear growth plan for the company. The judges appreciated the company’s past performance, in addition to which the company has already acquired top-domestic operators as customers and has access to product development partners, Pekkarinen says.
This year, a total of 15 companies took part in the sparring sessions of the Central Uusimaa Growth Path to develop and grow their business activities further. In total, 63 companies applied for the growth program.
– The Kasvu Open Growth Path has already become a widely known and appreciated growth program. Keuke has participated in the program from the very beginning as a regional main partner, as the program supports Keuke's services and objectives in increasing enthusiasm about growth and development among local businesses, says Elina Pekkarinen.
The companies that took part in the Growth Path program were offered two days’ worth of free sparring sessions with specialists from various fields for their growth plan.
The criteria used by the judges for evaluating and selecting the most promising companies includes market potential, the team, growth ability, and past performance. The same criteria are used in all Growth Path programs of Kasvu Open.
The most promising companies of Growth Path automatically join the Open 2021 TOP 60 finalists. The finalists are offered a third sparring day in the fall of 2021, and the national winners are chosen in October.
