For the 2020 season, Kasvu Open is bringing together operators from the Eastern Uusimaa, Central Uusimaa, and Western Uusimaa regions for the Uusimaa Growth Path. On the Growth Path, companies will receive free sparring that can help the companies chosen to participate in the program to develop and increase their operations. Applications for the Uusimaa Growth Path are accepted until March 11, 2020. 

30 growth-oriented companies are chosen for the Uusimaa Growth Path. The companies are selected by the Growth Path judging panel, which consists of representatives of the Growth Path partners. All Kasvu Open Growth Paths use the same selection criteria: market potential, team, growth ability, and demonstrated performance.

Money spent on parking and gas is insignificant compared to the results we have received through the Growth Path (€300,000 in offers). The atmosphere was great throughout the event. When you had to commit yourself fully, you also worked harder. An amazing experience, I definitely recommend taking part, says Mikko Simola, the CEO and owner of Loxus 3D Tunnelinspections Oy. The company was the winner of the Central Uusimaa Growth Path in 2019.

GROWTH PATH SELECTION

Each member of the Growth Path judging panel scores the applicants on a scale of 1–10 based on the criteria. 75% of the participating companies are chosen based on the scores. For the rest, the judging panel will make the final selection based on mutual discussions.

At the end of each sparring day, the panel will choose the two companies with the most potential to continue to the Kasvu Open finals. The finalists will compete for victory in the Kasvu Open Carneval on October 28–29, 2020.

GROWTH PATH SCHEDULE

The companies selected for the growth path will take part in two sparring days, where they get the opportunity to meet experts face to face and receive help for their growth challenges. 

The first sparring day for companies in the Western Uusimaa region is held on April 15, 2020, for companies in the Eastern Uusimaa region on April 16, 2020, and for companies in the Central Uusimaa region on April 21, 2020 in Järvenpää.

The second sparring day includes all participating companies and is held on May 14, 2020 in Järvenpää.

The Uusimaa Growth Path partners include: Keuke, Uusimaa TE services, Helsinki Chamber of Commerce, Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council, Uudenmaan Yrittäjät, Keuda, Western Uusimaa Chamber of Commerce, Luksia, Novago, and Posintra.
